“I was adopted, pre-1971, (which means that you are given no information at all about your birth family).  I met Jo when I was trying to find some relatives, having had some DNA matches, but running into dead ends when I was trying to actually find family, and make sense of the information that I had.

Jo listened carefully to the information I had managed to glean, via my adoption records, asked some very pertinent questions, and then picked up my case.  Very quickly she was able to follow clues and use her intuition to track down likely family members. One evening, approximately two weeks after first talking to her, she asked me to sit down at my laptop and she led me into uncovering for myself, the brothers and sisters she had managed to find.  It was a really emotional moment for me and Jo kindly and compassionately held my emotions and talked me through how I was feeling and what the next steps could be.  Part detective, part wise counsellor, she is the ideal person to work in this field.  Jo has continued to follow up with me, offering help and assistance as I have met family members, and I will continue to ask for her help in tracking down other relatives.  She is a wonderful person to work with; clever, cheerful and caring, and with very well-honed research skills. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to find their family or to reconnect with lost family.”
